Florida, July, 2023 – Female artists and entrepreneurs in the permanent makeup (PMU) and body art industry have a new reason to cheer! GRIP Needles has launched their much-awaited awareness campaign to empower artists with essential skill sets to scale up their brands. Several artists have already benefited from GRIP Needles' drive. It's worth noting here that the PMU and body art industry employs many female artists, many of whom work as entrepreneurs.

Alexandra Hardee is the owner of Sacred Adornments, a renowned body art, and cosmetic tattooing studio in Jackson, TN. When asked about her motivation to choose tattooing as a source of employment, she said, "I have wanted to be a tattoo artist since I was young. I have always been drawn to art and tattooing. I went to college for art and have dabbled in different mediums my whole life, but tattooing has been what I really shine at. I found out last year that tattooing is heavily in my family history and that my great aunt (Fay Balch) was one of the first female tattoo shop owners and artists in the 50s. So it is really cool that something I've been drawn to my whole life has come full circle!"

When asked what made her pursue cosmetic tattooing, Hardee said, "I actually offer both body art and cosmetic tattooing. I started as only body art, I actually did a face tattoo, and that gave me the courage to learn cosmetic tattooing." Chasing the entrepreneurship dream can be especially challenging for young mothers dedicated to their families and children. But Hardee sees her family as a source of motivation. "I am married and have two sons. They are my first priority. However, I am lucky enough to own my own shop that we have made very family-friendly. Sometimes work/life is tricky to balance, but we have made it work!"

Hardee is a voracious learner and considers client satisfaction as the foundation of her business. Since starting her business, Hardee has garnered appreciation for her tattoo styles. "I love to dabble in all styles, but my clients seek me out for my dot work and stipple-shaded florals and custom pieces." On why she prefers GRIP Needles' Triflat™️ 3RL/Flat hybrids, Hardee said, "3rl and 4rl are my go-to needles. So naturally, the Triflat cartridges are an absolute game changer for my style of work and my PMU!"

Alexandra Hardee has her eyes set on her goals. "My goals are to continue growing as an artist in both body art and cosmetic tattooing while zoning in on my style of work. I would love to start traveling and guest spotting more." With the cosmetic tattooing and permanent makeup industry contributing billions of dollars to the US economy each year, it's paramount that entrepreneurs and studio owners stay focused and motivated. GRIP Needles has taken on the mantle of a guide and promoter of artists and entrepreneurs in the industry with their class-leading products and awareness campaigns.
